I bought some software under the impression that I would be able to monitor my son's activities on his phone. I had to wait for a technician to assist me.

It took more than an hour. I had to reset the phone. The data only lasted 7 days. I never used it.

Every time you need to check data, you have to do a backup. The technician took over an hour to sort out the installation. There were recordings, and I asked the person if I would need to follow the same procedure to do a backup every time and he replied, 'This is the only time you need to do this.' That was not true.

I was never able to use the software. I don't encourage anyone to do business with these rude people, they won't just take your money, but will also cause you frustration.

I tried to escalate this issue to the manager.

Impossible to contact him or her. It is the more horrible experience not just because i have been ripped off but more than a month of frustrations.

Performance and no refund

WebWatcher - Performance and no refund

Signed up and couldn't even get the program to allow me to login for hours.

Tame your money before you even can see what it does.

Took over 10 times and restarted phone 3 times before could even get in to app.

By then I was so pissed didn't even want to try to use if. Emailed them immediately

For refund and took 3 days for response for them to show me their stupid policy and tell me not being able login isn't apparently a good enough software issue to warrant refund.

Don't use.

Don't try. Don't give them a dime!

Webwatcher - Subscription Review

It was advertised that you could pay $8 and change monthly and could cancel anytime. I made this selection and discovered the next day that they had taken $99.95 out of my account for the entire year.

The only way to contact them was to email them, which I did immediately. I got one response from someone who said that I purchased it and there will be no refund. I also, should have read more thoroughly as everything is stated in their agreement. It was totally misleading.

I emailed back several times with no response. The customer support number they give is a joke. It is a recording and you can't talk to a human. I made sure and cancelled my subscription and renewal.

After finally giving up on getting a reaponse or refund, I thought well if I already paid for I might as well use it. Found out they have live support. Messaged him the entire story about no reaponse and no refund and then told him that when I did log in, it did not work. It did not even give me the phone logs.

After much discussion that got no where, he tells me that even the customer service reps are not allowed the billing depts contact numbers! What?! I finally got off the message with him and decided to try and request for another refund and complaint. Two hours later, I get a text that they have AGAIN charged my account another $99.95!!

This company has no integrity. They are committing fraud and simply stealing people's money. They are very misleading. I will be reporting them to every agency I can and will be putting a stop on the money they are taking out of my account.

If this company decides to send me a *** *** response with their so called contact number, I would like to tell them to go to ***. I hope they are shut down and held accountable to the people they stole money from.

WebWatcher Reply:
This customer signed up for the Free Trial on 12/1/16 which states that after the 7 day trial period, WebWatcher costs $8.95/month when paid annually

However, this customer actually returned to their account on 1/11/17 and manually upgraded to the Annual Subscription of $99.95 (8.95/month when paid annually)

Customer can cancel their subscription directly in their account at any time.

Webwatcher - Monitoring Software Free Trial Review

Webwatcher - Monitoring Software Free Trial Review

I signed up for the FREE trial that was for 7 days. When I checked my account they immediately put a hold on my account for $99.99.

When I contacted them they told me it was just a hold until the 7 day trial period and if I cancelled before then they would release it. I turned it in as fraud at my bank and cancelled the membership. Now, the money was never put back and Webwatchers blocked my account as fraud and I can't even used what they charged me for and my bank will not pay me back either. So, I am out $99.99 and I don't even have a subscription.

Stay AWAY from this company!!!!! They are not honest and they will take your money regardless of what they say. This snapshot is from a live chat.

Don't even try to talk to a person on the phone and this guy quit responding to me and they no longer would answer me on the live chat. I'm reporting them to the BBB.

REFUND POLICY UNACCEPTABLE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a yearly subscription and I wanted to see the apps (snapchat, instagram etc). On the website it said in order to see the apps I had to upgrade for $29.95 so I did.

As soon as I paid, I saw no difference in the upgrade from the basic. I immediately contacted webwatcher and I have been emailing back and forth with someone telling me that no refund will be granted but will give me 4 weeks of data storage? That's not what I upgraded for. He tells me that they do not advertise that the software can monitor/record snapchats/instagram activities.

Very false/misleading advertising.

Basically they have taken my money and provided nothing in return. HORRIBLE customer service.

WebWatcher Reply:
Customer purchased WebWatcher for iOS (iPhone/iPad). Nowhere do not advertise that WebWatcher for iOS is able to record SnapChat & Instagram. Here is what we advertise with the Unlimited Update add-on package:
· Viber

· Deleted Text Messages

· WhatsApp

· Skype

· Tinder

· Kik

· Device location

Again, nowhere do we advertise that the Unlimited Update Package includes Snapchat & Instagram.

Webwatcher - Monitoring Software Free Trial Review

Im cancel the free trial and when i did they took out my money . Which i was on free trial and barely dis it today and cancel it today .

WebWatcher Reply:
Customer signed up for Free Trial which lasts 7 days.

On the 7th day the Free Trial ended and the customer’s Paid Subscription began.

This process was made very clear at the time of sign up when the customer filled out the sign up form with their credit card number agreeing that their Paid Subscription would begin on day 7.

However, the customer did have the option to cancel before day 7 if they did not want to begin a Paid Subscription. Customer can (and has) cancelled the Paid Subscription in their account and will not be charged going forward.

Expensive & have to wait 6 hours between data request.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Webwatcher worked great until iOS 9.x.x+. Now, you have to wait 6 hours to request data.

Before, it will update data continuously throughout the day without you lifting a finger. For being one of the most expensive data monitoring software that is a joke. They charge $99 dollars + $9.99 to reinstall the program in the case that you delete it (what a joke) and $29.95 just to be able to see phone location, installed apps and skype/kik conversations. Other companies offer this for free with purchase.

Another issue is that if you request data, it takes hours just to get the data on your account. Ridiculous.

WebWatcher Reply:
WebWatcher for iOS is an iCloud monitoring solution and one of the first solutions to support the iOS 9+ operating system.

In addition to automatically requesting data on behalf of customers who login to their accounts at least once every 48 hours, WebWatcher has always allowed those customers monitoring iOS 9+ devices to request data on demand (1x every 6 hours).

It is important to note that iOS 9 was released in September of 2015. The customer purchased WebWatcher in May of 2015, approximately 8 months after the release of the iOS version he mentions in this complaint.

Furthermore, the customer opted to add on to his subscription to see advanced features and continue the service for an additional year – this is not required and all WebWatcher customers have the option to cancel at ANYTIME throughout the subscription.

Our dedicated team of customer support professionals look forward to assisting this customer for the remainder of his subscription and helping him to make the most of his 2nd year using WebWatcher for iOS.

I also made the mistake of signing up for a free trial. Sure enough literally half hour later $99.95 gone from my account for a so called "credit card hold" solely for verification purposes.

Immediately cancelled an sent numerous emails. Was told I would get my back immediately upon cancellation, possibly a couple days wait for bank reasons. I've sent numerous emails an it's been at minimum 3 business days since the cancelation. No money returned.

Do not buy this product. It's truly nothing more than a scam.

BEEARE!! THEY DO NOT HONOR RISK FREE TRIAL

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

WORST PRODUCT/RUINED MY MACBOOK!

BEWARE! YOU NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!

THESE PEOPLE DO NOT HONOR THEIR RISK FREE TRIAL AND DO NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY.

I purchased this subscription and had trouble downloading on my MacBook Pro (2018 model). 3 days later, I had to call tech support to help because the download didn’t complete successfully. I thought it was my error. Tech support assisted remotely and it seemed to load successfully.

We hung up and the backup data for the phone I need to monitor did not complete. My computer froze and shut off. I had to take it to a tech to service it. I requested a refund within the 3 day trial period and they sent a generic response, not at all addressing my issue.

I complained and filed a claim with PayPal, but PayPal doesn’t refund any software related purchases. Webwatcher also sent the same generic response to PayPal, as a reply, no different than what webwatcher sent me. These people are scammers and sheisters!!! Their software is junk, too.

I found out, after I had to pay, that you have to download data on your computer from the phone you are monitoring every time you want to review the info. What the *** Who has time for that crap?!! DO NOT BUY THIS SUBSCRIPTION! IT’S CRAP!!

JUNK!!

And, they do not have an idea of what customer service is. They only have automatic replies to emails, which proves they have no business sense or adequate payroll funds, whatsoever.

Scam web site

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On 6/9/19 I paid for a one year subscription. It said I had a 7 day free trial first.

I was charged anyways. After five days I canceled the subscription because the app did not do everything it said it could. I canceled my subscription and requested a full refund. I was told I will get an email with a ticket number.

I never got the email. I emailed them several times and never got a response. Today I got on the site and talked to live support. I was told I never requested a full refund or cancelled.

I have emails to prove I did but they don't seem to care. I was told it was past the 7 days so they are going to keep the full amount paid $129.95. I deleted the app and have not even tried to use since I canceled.

I think they deleted my request and refund to wait for the 7 the day so they can keep my full payment. This site is a scam and it does not do half of what it claims it can do
